Christmas 2016 Update from Timau Mission

We received an update from Sister Joanne at the Timau Mission in Kenya on the three children, who are sponsored by the JNMC.  Here are the photos and the news from Sister Joanne.

Hi again, here are a few snaps of Freddy.  He is doing an average job in his studies.  For him that is good as he struggles a bit with his subjects, but he's interested and motivated.  In January he will be an 8th grader.
Thank you for your continued support of him.
We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!. God bless.  Sr. Joanne

Dear John Newman Mission Community,
Hi and greetings from Timau.  Attached are a couple of pictures of Duncan when he came in for his Christmas shoes and new clothes the other day.
He's quite a little guy now compared to the baby you took him on as.  Last year he wanted his two front teeth.  Now he clearly has them.
He did well in his end year exams this time around.  He came out position no. 7 out of the 30 kids in his class.  He will be moving up to 2nd grade when we re-open for the new school year in January. He's a cheerful, happy, playful and friendly little boy.
Thank you for the renewal and the continued support of Duncan.  We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and the happiest of New Years as you continue to do God's work on earth and to care for so many around you.  Peace, love, and Joy.  Sr. Joanne and Sr. Bea

....here is the update on Wendy.
She was in 5th grade this year and came out #2 in her third term work out of 22 pupils.  She'll join 6th grade in January when we begin the new school year.  Her health remains good.  Attached are a few pictures of her taken when they came in for their shoes and Christmas clothes and food. We didn't get her in time for a letter this time around but will next time.  Thanks and God bless.  Sr. Joanne
