Update from Timau Mission re Wendy and Duncan

We received the following notes from Sister Joanne:

Just another brief update.  Wendy will be a freshman in January. She is so much looking forward to being in high school.  She did well on the government exams so we are just waiting to see which school she will be selected for.  Below are a couple of new photos and her letter.  Thanks and God bless.  Happy Thanksgiving to all! Dear John Newman Mission Community members, Here is a little update on Wendy.  As she mentions her father died recently.  He had mental challenges and roamed the villages talking nonsense, but nevertheless he was her father and she loved him. She's doing very well in school and is highly motivated. Attached are a couple of recent photos of her and her August letter.  Thanks so much for keeping her in school.....her mother struggles to feed them taking on any odd job she can find. An Update from Sr Joanne

Dear John Newman members, Greetings and hope all is fine there. 

This update on Duncan should have been sent to you two months ago. 
I think what happened was when he wrote at the end of October, there
were Christmas greetings in the letter and so I then thought to hold it
until closer to Christmas.  Then it being on back burner, I forgot it.
So no harm in sending it at this untimely moment.....it's nice to see
what a handsome young man he is becoming from that little baby you
started with years ago.  Thanks and God bless.

…. Just for information, my return date has been changed from April
to June due to some transitional needs here, so I won't see you in the
spring, but rather in the summer.
